I have choose this textbook because it is very useful textbook provided by our Ministry of Education and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. This book was provided based on Huraian Sukatan Pembelajaran Sejarah on 2002 edition.

ORGANIZATION

The organization of History textbook Form 3 is well organized. It provide a useful table of contents, glossary and index. the contents are really good and suitable for the students level. the table of content also show a logical arrangement and development of subject due to make the student easy to access the book. the textbook also uniform in appearance and content layout as well as within each chapter. besides, this book also contain references, website, and meaning of the certain words in order to help the students understand the term used. this is very helpful and sufficient. moreover, the chapters provide clear and comprehensive introduction and summaries. this is very helpful to make the student understand about the whole ideas in the chapter. this book also good because all the pages numbered and did not confused the students.


CONTENT

The content of this book meet local and national standards because it is standardize and widely used by all schools in Malaysia. the content is good and accurate, but it is not up-to-date because this book is a history book. the content should be supported by other textbook because it is not enough to use this book only and students should have their own activities book to sharpen their mind. the language is appropriate for the intended group of age because it is easy to understand, clear and grammatically correct;also contain age appropriate reading level. at the end-of-lesson, there are questions and quizzes to improve the students' knowledge, enhance their ability skills and build up their mind. this lesson also linked to the moral subject because it teach about the patriotism and nationalism. this activities will engage students in active learning and appealing to a wide range of abilities and interest. besides, the lessons also encourage higher level thinking among the students. this textbook also can be used for several years because of it is durable.

PHYSICAL ASPECT

the size and weight of the textbook are very appropriate for students who use it, the font and style also suitable for the age. the binding, pages and cover are durable. this textbook also appeal to the students because it is very attractive, interesting and colorful. the page layout also uncluttered, balanced and suitable. the illustration, tables, figures, graphs and charts provide appropriate representations of age, ethnicity, sex, socioeconomic level and physical/mental ability. this book also relevant and functional to the students.
